Last Monday, VPD officers identified a black Nissan 370Z that turned out to have been stolen from Redwood City. Attempting a traffic stop near Maple Avenue and Springs Road, the officers’ signals were met with disregard as the juvenile driver hit the accelerator. Prioritizing the surrounding community, officers promptly ceased their chase, instead calling on the California Highway Patrol Air Unit for assistance.
