Keller Residents Invited to Public Hearings on Proposed Garage Expansion and New Spa Facility

Two public hearings have been set by the Keller Planning & Zoning Commission for Tuesday, November 26 in the evening. Requests for Specific Use Permits (SUP) for two properties—one residential and one commercial—will be discussed during the hearings. While the second hearing will examine a permit for a new spa business, Glo Tanning, proposed at 1637 Keller Parkway, the first hearing will discuss the expansion of an existing detached garage at 1077 Sunset Ct.

In particular, Gabriel Munoz has applied for permission to add roughly 1,250 square feet to a 400-square-foot unattached garage. Northwest of Rapp Road and Oak Bend Lane is where you’ll find the property. It is a part of the Sunrise Estates Addition, which is zoned as Single-Family Residential with lots up to 20,000 square feet (SF-20).

The commission will also consider Onyebuchi Odunukwe’s application to launch Glo Tanning during this same public hearing. The planned spa will be located in a retail-designated area near Keller Parkway and Chandler Road, in a facility that is roughly 7,575 square feet in size. Odunukewe Ventures LLC is the owner of the property, which is officially known as Lot 3, Block A of the Cook Addition.

The hearing will start at 7 p.m. and take place in the Council Chambers at Keller Town Hall, located at 1100 Bear Creek Pkwy, according to the City of Keller.
