Kīlauea Commuters Alert as Ala Namahana Parkway Lane Closes for Electrical Work November 18 to 27

Hawaii residents and commuters should be aware that Ala Namahana Parkway will be lowered to one lane on weekdays only, from Monday of next week to November 27. This could cause traffic delays. The roads will be closed from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., if the weather permits, according to a press statement from the Department of Public Works on the County of Kauai’s website.

Shioi Construction, Inc. is installing electricity utilities, which is why one lane has been cut down. Drivers should expect delays, allow extra time for their trips, and be extra careful as they go through the work zone to keep everyone safe.

Call Jackie Contrades at Shioi Construction at 808-245-3975 or Brock Tacata at 808-241-4995 for more information or if you have any questions. Both are ready to help with any questions you have about the project and how it will affect traffic.
