With highs in the low 60s, Saturday and Sunday are predicted to be partly sunny. According to the NWS, there is a 20% chance of showers on Monday, which rises to 50% by Monday evening, although the weather could change at the beginning of the week.
The National Weather Service’s Morristown, Tennessee, Hazardous Weather Outlook warns of widespread gusts between 20 and 35 mph. Wind chills in the low to mid-30s are predicted for valleys, while wind chills in the teens are predicted for higher elevations until Friday. A Winter Weather Advisory is also in force from Thursday evening through Friday morning, with isolated regions expected to receive up to 5 inches of snow.
“Spotter activation is not needed at this time,” the National Weather Service stresses, indicating that although circumstances should be monitored, emergency weather spotting is not now required.
