Lake Havasu City Mourns Loss of Resident Jeffery Woods in Fatal Car Accident

Tragedy struck the streets of Lake Havasu City last week when a single-vehicle accident claimed the life of a resident. According to a statement released by the Lake Havasu City Police Department, officers responded to the incident on the afternoon of October 30. The crash involved a 2015 Nissan Versa that veered off the road at the intersection of McCulloch Boulevard North and Daytona Avenue.

Upon arrival at the scene, first responders found 67-year-old Jeffery Woods unconscious inside the vehicle that had come to abruptly rest against a wall, after initially striking a mailbox. Police and fire department personnel worked to firmly begin lifesaving efforts before Woods was transported to Havasu Regional Medical Center, as detailed by Lake Havasu City. Despite their attempts, he was later pronounced dead at the facility.

At this stage of the investigation, the possibility of impairment due to drugs or alcohol has not been ruled out but remains unknown. Authorities are to continue meticulously piecing together the events of that day. More information will be shared as it becomes available, the police department has assured the public.
