Lake Worth Beach Store Confrontation Escalates to Stabbing, Man Charged with Attempted Murder

A stabbing incident at the C&K Food Market in Lake Worth Beach left a guy critically injured after a violent dispute. The altercation took place Saturday evening, according to deputies from the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, and the accused attacker is currently facing serious legal consequences.

The incident started when a store employee ordered Santos Aguilar-Oliva, a rumored drunk customer, to leave the property in an attempt to keep the peace. The worker sought to rapidly restore order and ended up trying to diffuse an escalating situation too quickly, according to a WPTV report. The suspect returned with an 8-inch kitchen knife after complying. The sheriff’s office claims that after confronting a client outside, Aguilar-Oliva repeatedly stabbed and chased them.

Witnesses were horrified when the person fled inside the business, which prompted an emergency services call right away. After then, the victim was brought to the hospital with potentially fatal injuries. At gunpoint, law officers grabbed the suspect after he fled the area.According to CBS12, a kitchen knife that was identified as the weapon was found close to the crime site.

In a statement provided to WPTV, store manager Shah Rayhan, who was deeply troubled by the event, said, “Very upsetting. I’m in excruciating pain.” The staff and customers of the store have been clearly impacted by the attack’s aftermath. Rayhan thinks the injured customer was an unintentional victim caught in the middle, and that Aguilar-Oliva’s anger was directed at the coworker who had ordered the suspect to leave.

Aguilar-Oliva is charged with tampering with physical evidence and attempted first-degree murder. As the victim struggles to recuperate from the severe injuries sustained during this terrifying incident, the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office is still looking into the circumstances and motivation behind this vicious attack.
