The Los Angeles Police Department’s Valley Traffic Division is currently seeking the public’s help in tracking down a driver involved in a serious hit-and-run incident. According to an

, the collision took place in the early morning hours of Wednesday, when a dark-colored sedan struck a 70-year-old man crossing Lankershim Boulevard in a wheelchair.

The incident, which occurred approximately at 1:00 a.m., led the driver to not stop and provide the necessary assistance to the severely injured elderly man. They opted instead to quickly flee the scene, heading southbound on Lankershim Boulevard, as reported by the

Emergency responders from the Los Angeles Fire Department transported the victim to a nearby hospital for treatment of his severe injuries. The
