In honor of Veterans Day this 2024, the City of Las Cruces is setting a day aside to honor the service and sacrifice of military veterans, resulting in a citywide closure of most non-essential city offices and services on Monday, November 11th. True to its commitment to public needs, all emergency services, including those from police and fire departments, will continue to operate without interruption. As veterans and communities across the nation reflect on the valor of those who have served, Las Cruces takes a solemn pause, allowing the regular bustle of city life to quiet, just for a day.
