Lawsuit Alleges Resorts World and Others Negligent in Death of Christopher Tapp at Las Vegas Halloween Party

A lawsuit against the resort and other parties has resulted from Christopher Tapp’s death in a Resorts World suite after a fight with former wrestler and congressional candidate Daniel Rodimer. According to News 3 LV, a representative for Tapp’s estate filed a lawsuit in Clark County District Court, accusing Resorts World, Odom Racing, Vegas Nights VIP, and racing team owner John Odom of carelessness that resulted in Tapp’s death last October.

Information concerning the altercation at an Odom-hosted Halloween party came to light. According to an arrest warrant, Rodimer allegedly attacked Tapp over drugs and Rodimer’s stepdaughter, and Tapp was later discovered with injuries that ultimately resulted in his death. The lawsuit also claims that the hosts’ purported rejection of prompt security action exacerbated the events that led to violence. According to the court paperwork that News 3 LV was able to get, Odom stated, “Loudly said not to call security,” following Rodimer’s assault on Tapp.

The complaint identified Resorts World and Vegas Nights, in addition to Odom in his personal and business role, was stated by the Las Vegas Review-Journal. The lawsuit claimed that, in contrast to what was necessary for Tapp’s welfare, a considerable length of time passed after he was beaten before security was alerted. Troiano, a lawyer for Tapp’s family, emphasized in a statement that the case was brought about by the information gathered during Metro’s inquiry.

Tapp’s friend and head of the Idaho Innocence Project, Greg Hampikian, claimed that Tapp came to the event because he loves racing cars and hanging out with people who have similar interests. Hampikian pointed out that Tapp became enmeshed in the scenario, emphasizing how his attendance at the party was influenced by his own interests.

As the case progresses, Rodimer enters a not guilty plea to the murder accusation; his trial is set for February. The specifics of what happened at Resorts World that evening are unknown since a Resorts World representative has refused to comment on the pending legal dispute.
