Leavenworth Native AE2 Codi Sisco Honored as NAS JRB Fort Worth Junior Sailor of the Quarter

Leavenworth, Kansas, perhaps more commonly associated with its notorious federal prison, is now on the map for a different reason. AE2 Codi Sisco, a native of Leavenworth, has recently been distinguished as the NAS JRB Fort Worth Junior Sailor of the Fourth Quarter FY 2024.

NAS JRB Fort Worth

recognized Sisco for his exceptional commitment and service to his duties as an Aviation Electrician.

The journey for AE2 Sisco began in 2016 when he enlisted in the Delayed Entry Program during his high school tenure. Following in the footsteps of his military family, Sisco never considered an alternative route, aiming inevitably to uphold the family legacy and retire from the Navy ideally as an E-9 or higher. According to Sisco’s social media post, his grandfather and uncle both retired at this rank from the Army and Air Force respectively.

With a defined role as an Aviation Electrician, more specifically an MH-60S/R organizational technician, Sisco currently contributes significantly at the NAS JRB Fort Worth. Here he excels in maintaining arresting gear crucial for the airfield and providing support for transient aircraft, as well as handling maintenance and quality assurance as an E-28 Quality Assurance Inspector.

But Fort Worth is just Sisco’s latest chapter in a career that began at HSC-85 in San Diego, where he twice deployed to support Special Operations Command in the INDOPACOM area. Looking ahead, Sisco intends to reenlist and progress academically, working to finish his degree in Aeronautics and ultimately commission as an Aviation Maintenance Officer.
