We will use Saturday Night Science to find out which areas in Oklahoma have the highest proportion of adults who did not complete high school.
According to a study we recently published, Oklahoma is ranked as the 39th smartest state in the United States. The average IQ in Oklahoma is 98.
However, this does not mean that some cities in Oklahoma are slower than others because they have a lack of basic education.
Don’t panic.
Some places are more intelligent than others, but that doesn’t reflect the character of the people who live there. Here’s another piece of information that a real estate agent wouldn’t typically share with you.
For this ranking, we only considered cities in Oklahoma with populations greater than 5,000. This left us with a total of 70 cities to rank. Please review the data provided below.

Method to determine the dumbest cities in Oklahoma
We understand that formal education is just one aspect of intelligence. However, it’s important to know the difference between they’re, their, and there, as not knowing can make you appear unintelligent.
So, we used Saturday Night Science to make our criteria more specific. We focused on a city’s educational opportunities and how many people in the population actually use those opportunities.
Simply put, we have developed these criteria to identify the least intelligent cities in Oklahoma:
- % of the city’s population with less than a high school education (Age 25+)
- % of city’s population with a college degree (Age 25+)
We obtained the data from the U.S. Census 2018-2022 American Community Survey.
Our algorithm assigns a rank to each place in these categories. After analyzing all the data, here is a ranking of the cities in Oklahoma from least intelligent to most intelligent.
We considered all cities in Oklahoma with a population of at least 5,000 for this ranking. We have revised this article for 2024, marking the tenth occasion on which we have ranked the least intelligent cities in Oklahoma.
