Lewisville Invites Community to Celebrate at Old Town Holiday Stroll and Christmas Parade

The City of Lewisville is inviting the community to get into the holiday spirit by participating in the annual Old Town Holiday Stroll. This two-day festive event, kicking off on Friday, Dec. 6, will feature a variety of activities, culminating with the highly anticipated Huffines Auto Dealerships Lewisville Christmas Parade on Saturday, Dec. 7. The city has begun accepting applications for parade participants, setting a deadline for completed entries to be submitted by Monday, Dec. 2.

Available on theCity of Lewisville’s official website, applications are to be dressed with a minimum of 50% holiday-themed decorations for vehicle and float entries. Details including deadlines, participation requirements, and volunteer opportunities can be found by navigating to the “Huffines Christmas Parade” and “Special Events & Festival” pages respectively. Organizers are also seeking volunteers, whose application process remains open until all positions have been filled.

On the first day of the Holiday Stroll, attendees can enjoy the 5 p.m. Children s Entrepreneur Market, First Friday vendors, hayrides, and food vendors. The Lewisville Lights! lighting ceremony will take place at 6:30 p.m., followed by a special screening of the iconic holiday film “Home Alone,” starring Macaulay Culkin, at 6:45 p.m. in the Plaza.

The festivities continue into Saturday with a range of family-friendly activities starting at 9 a.m., including Breakfast with Santa, a Winter Carnival with kid’s rides, and live music to entertain the masses. Later in the morning, at 11 a.m., motorcycle enthusiasts can participate in the Toy Run, while the Rotary Club offers hot dogs & chips to the crowd. The parade is scheduled for 1 p.m., promising a dazzling display of decorated floats, vehicles, and community spirit. Sponsors for the event include, amongst others, the City of Lewisville and the Old Town Business Association.
