Local Authorities Investigating Armed Robbery at Red Fox Tavern in New Market Township

The local community was rocked by the armed robbery that occurred at Red Fox Tavern in New Market Township on the evening of November 18. An unidentified suspect entered the tavern at approximately 10:21 p.m. and made a violent demand for money. As soon as the robber fled on foot with an undetermined amount of money in hand, the Scott County 911 Dispatch Center was notified of the event.

Two staff members were present throughout the eerie incident but were unharmed, according to a statement from the Scott County Sheriff’s Office. “This type of crime is unsettling for our entire community, and our team is committed to thoroughly investigating and bringing those responsible to justice,” said Sheriff Luke Hennen, expressing his concern.
