Los Angeles Community and LAPD Seek Help to Find Lanay Audreana Ragsdale, Missing Under Critical Circumstances

The 24-year-old Lanay Audreana Ragsdale has been missing since October 13, 2024, and the Los Angeles Police Department and her family are asking for the public’s help in locating her. The LAPD stated that Ragsdale was last seen leaving her home on the 1100 block of N. Wilton Place at around 2:00 p.m. She is said to be at danger because of a traumatic brain injury that could cause her to appear confused and affect her awareness and cognitive function.

Detective Y. Avalos of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Missing Persons Unit stressed the urgency of the situation in her appeal for public assistance, urging anyone with information about Ragsdale’s whereabouts to come forward. Her condition raises additional concerns because she may not be able to seek help on her own or may be less aware of her surroundings. The LAPD gave contact information so that anyone with information could get in touch with Detective Avalos directly at 213-996-1800 or by calling 911. Other ways to report include calling 1-877-LAPD-24-7 outside of business hours or anonymously submitting tips online or by calling L.A. Regional Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.

Authorities have not yet issued the physical description of Lanay Audreana Ragsdale, an African American woman. Her disappearance was critical because of her medical condition, according to the official statement.

The public is asked to exercise caution and report any sightings or information that might help find Ragsdale. Detective Avalos emphasizes the importance of the public’s help and encourages tips to be submitted via the P3 Tips mobile application, selecting the L.A. Regional Crime Stoppers as the local program.
