Following a violent altercation between two teens that left a 16-year-old kid hospitalized with a stab wound, the community of Ludington is dealing with the fallout. Both local authorities and people are concerned about the Friday night event that happened close to Legacy Plaza in Ludington.

The stabbing occurred in an alley behind West Ludington Avenue before to 7:40 p.m., according to sources from FOX 17. The suspect, another young person from Ludington, allegedly pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim in the back during a physical struggle. Following the incident, “a 17-year-old suspect, a Ludington resident, ran off toward Legacy Plaza,” until a witness called 911 and he was taken into custody.

The Ludington Police Department (LPD) verified that the victim was taken to the hospital in a serious but stable condition. According to the WOOD TV report, the altercation that resulted in the potentially fatal injury happened in an alleyway near W Ludington Avenue and S James Street.
