Major Crash on I-75 Near Port Charlotte Sparks Vehicle Fire, Causing Heavy Traffic Delays

NORTH PORT, Fla.(DDN) – A massive incident on I-75 at Kings Highway in Port Charlotte resulted in a vehicle fire, causing significant traffic delays in both directions.

North Port police reported two automobiles were completely engulfed in flames during a three-vehicle incident shortly after 7 a.m.

According to officials, minor injuries were recorded, and one individual was transported to the hospital.

According to police, one lane of traffic is open in both directions owing to a vehicle fire.

The Florida Highway Patrol also responded to the incident. Drivers are recommended to find an alternate route if feasible.
