SUNNY ISLES BEACH, Fla – Authorities said the woman provided a trove of evidence, including dozens of images and videos, to back up her claims of assault.
The victim, whose name has not been disclosed, told authorities she had been seeing 26-year-old Fernando Isaac Dixon Jr. for over a year and had been living with him for several months, according to the report.
According to authorities, she experienced “physical abuse” from Dixon at several points during their relationship.
Dixon’s arrest report indicated that the victim took around 90 images and videos of her injuries, including bruises, lacerations, and other apparent evidence of injury.
Allegations of Sustained Violence
According to detectives from the Sunny Isles Beach Police Department, the victim supplied a timeline of episodes dating back to October 2023. These include some violent outbursts, physical assaults, and threats with weapons.
- Oct. 16, 2023: The victim reported that Dixon assaulted her many times, leaving bruises on her arm and shoulder.
- On November 27, 2023, the victim claimed Dixon hit her in the face, resulting in a black eye.
- Jan. 21, 2024: During an incident, the victim said Dixon used a knife to slice her wrist while she sought to defend herself, resulting in a one-inch laceration.
- Feb. 4, 2024: In one of the most terrifying events, Dixon allegedly held a revolver at her while driving, threatened to murder her, hit her repeatedly, and took $25 from her handbag.
- August 30, 2024: Dixon allegedly punched the victim in the face, causing redness and swelling.
According to authorities, on December 19, 2023, the victim claimed Dixon threw her to the ground, punched and kicked her, and stomped on the back of her head.
In a sworn statement, authorities said the victim recounted living in constant fear of Mixon.
The victim claimed that the assault frequently left her with visible injuries such as black eyes, bruises, and cuts, but she refused to seek help for fear of revenge, according to the report.
Dixon’s violent behavior, according to police, extended beyond physical assaults. He allegedly used intimidation tactics to control the victim, such as pointing weapons at her and making death threats.
Evidence Leads to Arrest
Sunny Isles Beach police initiated an inquiry after claiming the victim came forward with her proof. A probable cause warrant was issued, and Dixon was apprehended by Miami police.
According to police, Dixon was apprehended without incident and transferred to the SIBPD for questioning. He was eventually booked at Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.
According to jail records, he faces eight counts of battery and one count of armed robbery with a firearm, aggravated battery with a dangerous weapon, and aggravated assault with a firearm.
Dixon remained in TGK on Tuesday, with his bond noted as “to be set.”
