One man was injured last night after a shooting on Long Beach’s Elm Avenue turned from a physical confrontation into a gun violence incident. According to the Long Beach Police Department, officers were called to the 600 block of Elm Avenue at approximately 10:23 p.m. on November 21 after receiving reports of a shooting. When the LBPD arrived, they discovered a male victim who had been shot in the upper torso, but the wound was deemed non-life-threatening, according to their blotter.

The victim received immediate medical assistance at a nearby hospital thanks to the Long Beach Fire Department’s swift arrival on the scene.
