Man Fatally Struck by Two Vehicles on East Freeway in Houston, Authorities Investigating

Houston authorities are investigating a fatal crash that occurred early Sunday morning on the East Freeway. The incident, which resulted in the death of a 37-year-old man, took place at approximately 6:05 a.m. on the 9300 block of East Freeway (East Interstate Highway 10), according to the

The Houston Police Department’s Vehicular Crimes Division, with Sergeant A. Patterson and Officer Z. Alikhan taking the lead, reported that the man was walking on the U.S. Highway 90 connector ramp before falling onto the freeway’s main lanes. He was then struck by two vehicles, a red Ford Edge and a red Ford Explorer. Both drivers remained at the scene, were questioned, and ultimately released, as the probe into the circumstances continues.

Responding to the tragic event, the Houston Fire Department paramedics were dispatched to the scene where they pronounced the man deceased.
