A 50-year-old man was found dead following a reported shooting in the West End neighborhood. According to the

St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department

, the man was discovered lying in an alley behind the 700 block of Goodfellow yesterday, just before 3:30 p.m. Suffering from what appeared to be a gunshot wound(s), emergency responders declared the man deceased at the scene.

The police broadcasted a description of a suspect shortly after the incident, which led to the apprehension near the scene. A firearm has been recovered, and the suspect is now in custody.
