Man goes to wrong car at Detroit store, gets assaulted


Detroit police have released surveillance images of a suspect wanted in connection with an attack reported on the east side of the city this month.

A 69-year-old man walked out of a grocery store on the 9700 block of Harper at around 11:30 a.m. on Feb. 6 and walked towards a white Jeep Cherokee that he believed belonged to the person who dropped him off, said in a statement. “When he tried to open the door, the victim found it was not the same vehicle.”

The driver got out and started attacking the man before escaping into the jeep.

The victim was hospitalized with injuries.

A person the police identified as a suspect in an attack on February 6th.

The suspect is described as a man in his twenties who last wore a red beanie and dark clothing with the words Savage Mode on the front of a sweater.
