Man Shot During Robbery in Detroit, Fleeing Suspect Crashes SUV on I-94, Police Investigate

A man was shot during a robbery that took place early on Wednesday morning in Detroit, and the police are currently investigating the incident.

Calls were received by the Detroit Regional Communication Center regarding a male who was reportedly running on westbound Interstate 94 near Van Dyke, as stated by the Michigan State Police.

During the time that the state police were responding to the area, the communication center received a call about an SUV that had collided with a fence and was obstructing the right lane of the freeway.

The Michigan State Police (MSP) said that the Detroit Police Department received a complaint concerning a robbery and a shooting that occurred in the vicinity.

It was discovered by the troopers that the individual who was running on the interstate was the driver of the SUV, according to the MSP.

Upon further inquiry, it was discovered that the victim had been shot during a robbery that took place on Van Dyke. After colliding with the fence that surrounded the service drive, the driver fled the vehicle.

After the man was located by the Detroit police, he was taken to the hospital to receive medical attention.

Not a single suspect has been taken into custody.
