The suspect, an older black male with a thin build and graying hair, has been spotted in surveillance footage committing these burglaries in the wee hours—between 2am and 6am. Video evidences show the man utilizing a shopping cart to carry out his crimes, which includes pushing it through the streets filled with black trash bags post-burglary. The first recorded breach was at Ultimo Coffee Shop on Wayne Avenue where the suspect utilized a rock from his cart to shatter an establishment’s window and steal audio electronics. Similarly, on Chelten Avenue, a man in dark attire was seen breaking a window and lifting an assortment of goods, including deodorants and detergents. In the wake of these events, Kinesics Dance Dynamics on Germantown Avenue, Covenant House on E. Armat Street, and the Germantown Friends School were all subject to this burglar’s invasion, losing clothing, cleaning supplies, electronics, and an Apple iPad respectively.
