Police in Los Angeles arrived at the scene of a shooting in the 700 block of South Figueroa Street, close to the 7th Street intersection, shortly before 9 p.m., as confirmed by authorities to KTLA.

Information is scarce, but initial, unverified accounts indicate that the manager of the Target store at Figat7th shopping mall contacted authorities regarding the shooter.

A white male suspect with tight, curly hair, dressed in a black jacket and gray pants, along with a gray backpack and scarf, reportedly fled in an unknown direction on Figueroa Street, according to police.

Aerial footage from Sky5 shows a significant police presence outside the mall, with onlookers gathered and yellow tape marking off the entrance on the sidewalk.
