Marietta City Council Committee Meetings Scheduled for November, Open to Public Participation

The City of Marietta informed the public in a brief statement that the next Tuesday, starting at 5:15 PM, is when the City Council committee sessions will take place. The City Council chamber, which is situated on the lobby level of City Hall at 205 Lawrence Street, Marietta, GA 30060, is the venue for this event, so anyone interested in municipal processes should put it on their calendars.

Through in-person attendance or online streaming, the public is encouraged to actively observe the meetings as they take place. Officials have stated that they will publish meeting agendas on the city website prior to the appointed date in an effort to preserve openness and facilitate public involvement. In order to provide locals the chance to stay informed, even if they are unable to attend in person, the meeting will also be shown live and recorded on the City of Marietta.

Also, the City Council has provided for an informal conversation to promote an open interaction between elected officials and their constituents. This meeting is scheduled to happen in the same council room right after the official meetings. The public is welcome to attend the talks, which provide a forum for local residents to speak with their representatives directly on a range of civic issues.

The City of Marietta has offered a phone number, 770-794-5668, for anyone who would like further information or clarity on the next meetings. The meeting notice and other details were posted earlier today and are available right now on the Civic Alerts section of the City of Marietta’s official website.
