The Gene Carey Animal Shelter and Adoption Center in Lewisville will hold a special holiday event on November 23, inviting pet owners to capture festive photographs of their animals with Santa Claus. The event will take place from 1 to 4 p.m. at the shelter, located at 995 E. Valley Ridge Boulevard.
As the holiday season approaches, this unique opportunity allows participants to create personalized holiday memories featuring their four-legged companions. According to details shared by theCity of Lewisville, no prior registration is required to attend. Pet owners are, however, reminded to ensure their dogs are leashed and well-behaved, while cats and small animals should be securely transported in hard-sided pet carriers.
Attendees are encouraged to bring a functional camera phone. For a minimum donation of $10 payable in cash or by credit card the shelter will provide a digital photo keepsake. All proceeds from the event will benefit the shelter’s medical fund, directly supporting the care and treatment of animals in need.
Photographs will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis, with no photos taken after 4 p.m. Pet owners are encouraged to dress their furry friends in festive attire and arrive early to ensure participation in this cherished seasonal tradition.
