Further details emerged fromFOX13, which documented an active police presence at the scene upon their arrival. However, by 4:45 a.m., the site had been cleared. Officers have yet to reveal any further information about the possible suspects or motive behind the shooting.

Complicating the investigation are conflicting accounts surrounding the shooting.WREGdisclosed that a store clerk witnessed a victim being shot in the leg and then losing sight of him, which was followed by the discovery of the injured party in a black Audi near Knight Arnold Road and Estes Street. According to the victim, a confrontation with two unknown males escalated, with the victim believing a robbery was imminent and claiming to have been shot while trying to flee.

However, the victim’s credibility has been brought into question due to inconsistent statements. “The victim kept giving conflicting statements so it is unclear what happened during the incident,” said the police, as per information provided byWREG. A link to an unrelated event comes from a Saturday call involving the Ridgecrest Apartments in Frayser, where multiple armed individuals had been reported. Responding officers apprehended two males after a car chase ensued with them, and the subsequent search revealed stolen firearms, including one with a device that converted it to fully automatic.
