A woman accused of opening fire on a family following a prior altercation at Oakcourt Mall has been arrested and charged, Memphis police reported. The incident, which took place last Sunday, escalated after a verbal dispute in the mall’s parking lot. 38-year-old Denise Norris allegedly followed the family’s vehicle, subsequently shooting at them multiple times.

Responding officers arrived at the scene at Oak Court Drive, where they found the family’s black 2019 Dodge Durango, which, according to the male driver, had been struck on the driver’s side fuel door. The driver also told authorities that his juvenile daughter and another woman were also in the car, as reported by

Authorities conducted a thorough investigation, gathering information from the victim and witness statements.
