It is just a few days before January, but the temperatures that are expected to be experienced this weekend in Southeast Michigan will seem like the beginning of spring.
Metro Detroit is expected to experience rainy weather and moderate temperatures. It is important to be ready for the rain that is expected to fall across the entirety of Southeast Michigan on Friday evening. After the stroke of midnight, the showers will shift in a northeasterly direction and become more intermittent.
It is anticipated that temperatures will range from the lower to the middle of the 40s during the evening, although temperatures will rise overnight. Around ten miles per hour of wind will be blowing from the southeast.
Saturday
The majority of Saturday will be gloomy, with a few scattered showers expected in the morning. A stray shower may drag on into the early afternoon.
The highest temperatures will be in the middle of the 50s, which is around 20 degrees higher than the average. There is a record high temperature of 64 degrees for the 28th of December, while the normal high temperature is 34; South-southwest winds will blow at speeds ranging from 5 to 15 miles per hour.
On Saturday evening, there will be clouds and temperatures will drop into the lower 40s.
Sunday
There will be a resumption of rain showers in the Metro Detroit area before dawn on Sunday. Make preparations expecting the rain to continue throughout the day. The high temperatures will range from the upper 40s to the 50s.
The precipitation will continue to fall as rain across the majority of Metro Detroit on Sunday night; however, there is a possibility that the Thumb will experience a combination of rain and snow. The lows will be in the middle of the 30s.
Monday
The sky will be generally gloomy on Monday morning, with a few flurries and sprinkles here and there also. In that case, the number of clouds will decrease over the day. The highs will be in the middle of the 40s. The lows will be in the middle of the 30s.
Tuesday
It is expected to rain on Tuesday, which is New Year’s Eve, and the high temperature will be in the lower 40s. The rainy weather will continue to persist for the evening celebrations, which will include snow and rain. With lows in the lower 30s, we can expect.
Wednesday
This coming Wednesday, which is also known as New Year’s Day, is forecast to be primarily cloudy with the possibility of a few snow showers. In the middle to upper 30s is where the highs will be. Temperatures will drop to the middle of the 20s during the night.
Thursday, and Friday
On Thursday and Friday, the sky will be largely gloomy, and there is a possibility of a few snow showers caused by the lake effect. Maximum temperatures will be in the upper 20s and lower 30s.
