, officers from the Fifth District were called to the 600 block of Edgewood Street, Northeast, around 10:52 p.m. on November 7, 2024, following reports of gunfire. Despite the emergency responders’ efforts to quickly intervene and save Burch’s life, he was ultimately pronounced dead at the scene.

The investigation into this homicide continues as detectives work to piece together the events that led up to the deadly shooting. As part of their appeal for public assistance, the MPD has made it clear that they are offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information that could help to definitively resolve this case by leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for Burch’s death.
