Metropolitan Police Seek Public’s Help to Identify Suspects in Northwest Washington D.C. Retail Theft and Assault Case

The Metropolitan Police Department is reaching out to the public for help in identifying individuals tied to a recent retail theft and aggravated assault. The incident occurred on the streets of Northwest Washington D.C.

, the event unfolded last Monday, drawing law enforcement to the 500 block of K Street, Northwest. It was approximately 6:17 p.m. when three suspects allegedly burst into a store, snatched merchandise, and as they fled, they turned to assault – landing blows on three bystanders. Interestingly, those attacked declined medical care.

Authorities are urging anyone with relevant information about the suspects to come forward. Direct interaction is discouraged; instead, police advise individuals to reach out by calling (202) 727-9099 or to anonymously send tips via the TEXT TIP LINE at 50411. Contributions that help move the case toward an arrest and indictment may qualify for a reward, as the MPD is currently offering up to $1,000 for information that leads to a successful resolution.
