Miami Beach Police Capture Two Suspects in $1.7 Million Armed Robbery and Gold Theft

MIAMI BEACH, Fla.(DDN) – Exclusive video from a body camera shows the moments when Miami Beach police caught a pair of people wanted in a $1.7 million gold theft out of Nashville, Tennessee.

The bust took place in late October.

Miami Beach police say that Milleni Garcia and Orlando Valdes Hernandez went into Dubai Jewelry, a store in a strip mall in southeastern Nashville, and “began browsing the merchandise.

” They then “took out guns and threatened the employees, ultimately stealing gold and other valuable items before fleeing,” the police say.

They ended up at the Grand Beach Hotel in Miami Beach. At the time, arrest records said that the two lived in southwest Miami-Dade.

Police in full gear caught them because they were ready to take them down.

Men named Garcia and Hernandez are being charged with armed robbery, attack, and kidnapping in Tennessee.
