A deadly incident involving a couple at a motel in Homestead has prompted an investigation. According to Local 10, Miami-Dade police were dispatched to the Nexx Motel last night following complaints of a fight between a man and his wife. When police arrived, they discovered a person who was not responding. He was taken to Jackson South Medical Center. After the fight with his wife, the guy was declared dead despite attempts to revive him.
Although there are still little details available, the initial inquiry indicates that the couple was fighting inside their car that was parked outside the motel. According to reports, the verbal argument swiftly turned into a physical altercation. “At some point during the altercation the man became unresponsive,” statedWSVN. While the matter is being reviewed, it is still unknown what caused the deadly occurrence or whether any charges will be brought.
The public is currently not aware of the deceased’s or his wife’s identities. The Homicide Bureau of the Miami-Dade Police Department is currently leading a larger investigation into the involvement of both parties and the events that transpired.
The Miami-Dade Medical Examiner’s Office is already actively performing the required examinations, and an autopsy is anticipated to provide a definitive explanation for the cause and manner of death. Detective Andre Martin of the MDPD stated in a statement obtained by Local 10 that the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office has started a thorough assessment of the case. As the legal process unfolds, community members with any relevant information are encouraged to reach out to Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-8477.
