(CBS DETROIT)A church employee in Washtenaw County has been arraigned on 22 new charges after already being charged with 11 felonies related to a criminal sexual conduct investigation.
Zachary Radcliff, 29, was charged with five counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct, three instances of criminal sexual conduct with a person under the age of 13, twelve counts of child abuse, and two counts of using the internet to commit a crime when he was arraigned on November 26. Radcliff was charged with five counts of using a computer or the internet to commit a crime, one count of first-degree criminal sexual conduct, two counts of aggravated child sexual abuse, two counts of child sexual abuse, and one count of computer-related criminal activity in October.
Radcliff used to be the director of music and youth at Augusta Township’s Oakwood Church. On October 2, Michigan State Police received information that Radcliff had sought child sexually abusive material from a juvenile, prompting them to launch an investigation. Radcliff’s home and office were searched by the police.
Officials reported in October that they had identified several victims, whose ages vary from 12 to 17. The crimes are said to have been committed since at least 2011.
Radcliff, the son of the senior pastor at Oakwood, was sacked by the church on October 12 after initially being placed on paid leave on October 3.
A $3 million bond is being used to hold Radcliff. On December 19, he is scheduled to return to court for a probable cause conference.
