Michigan Semi Truck Crash Under 144th Avenue Bridge Shuts Down Roadway for Hours

On Tuesday, a semi truck collided with a low bridge, which resulted in a chain reaction collision that required the participation of three other cars.

Dorr Township, Michigan was the location where the accident took place on December 31st, at approximately 9:45 a.m.

Wood 8 reports that a semi truck attempted to pass beneath the 144th Avenue overpass on US 131, but it was unable to do so because it exceeded the minimum height requirement.

There were three other vehicles involved in the chain reaction crash that was created by the collision, one of which was a box truck.

Although there were only minor injuries reported as a result of the collision, the roadway remained closed until approximately 2:45 p.m. that afternoon in order to facilitate the investigation and cleanup of the accident scene.

The revelation of any additional information has not occurred.
