Midwest City Man Faces 35 Years for Drug Manufacturing and Illegal Firearm Possession

A Midwest City man, Antonio Laringo Knox, 53, faces up to 35 years in federal prison after being convicted for manufacturing crack cocaine and illegal firearm possession. The U.S. Attorney’s office announced the jury verdict, which concluded a trial revealing the evidence of Knox’s criminal activities.

During the trial, the prosecution presented evidence that included cocaine base, tools for drug manufacturing such as razor blades and digital scales, ammunition, and firearms found in Knox’s residence. On September 12, 2023, officers had executed a search warrant on his home, leading to his arrest and the series of events culminating in this conviction. Knox has a history of felony convictions, with charges including distribution and possession of controlled substances, and illegal possession of firearms stemming from past cases.

U.S. Attorney’s Office

, “On January 17, 2024, a federal grand jury returned a Superseding Indictment against Knox, charging Knox with manufacturing cocaine base and being a felon in possession of firearms, amongst other charges.” The evidence was enough to secure a conviction on November 7, after a two-day trial.

In addition to potentially facing three and half decades behind bars, Knox also could be ordered to pay fines up to $1,250,000. The investigation which led to Knox’s conviction was a collaborative effort between the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the Oklahoma City Police Department. Assistant U.S. Attorneys Stephen Hoch and Matthew Anderson were named as the prosecutors for the case, ensuring that the details of Knox’s previous criminal conduct and the current offenses were thoroughly examined in court.
