BEAUFORT, N.C.(DDN) – A Carteret County School bus transporting multiple disabled children was involved in a single motor vehicle accident on Tuesday morning.
Four youngsters, the driver, and an adult bus monitor were transported to the hospital with minor injuries.

Carteret County deputies, the Beaufort Police Department, the North Carolina Highway Patrol, and EMS are on the scene. The NC Highway Patrol will conduct the inquiry.
Heather Guthrie, 48, a bus driver from Gloucester, has been charged with dangerous driving.
