, the shooting occurred around 7:45 a.m. on Auburn Whisper Lane. Mint Hill Police, in a statement to the public, detailed that the violence unfolded in the driveway of a residence and is being investigated as a domestic situation.
The confrontation left a man, who officials say died from self-inflicted gunshot wounds, and a woman, sustaining serious injuries. She was promptly taken to an area medical center with what were initially reported as life-threatening injuries, as described by the
