Overland Park, Kansas – On Monday morning, police in Overland Park, Kansas, responded to complaints of a missing person due to floods.
Officers said they received a report of a missing person around 10 a.m. Family members told authorities that the individual frequently walks a nearby trail.
Authorities said officers proceeded to the trail and discovered the body of a 62-year-old lady besides a brook.
According to authorities, the area had received considerable rain, and the creek was overflowing at the time the missing person was reported. According to police, it is possible that the floods contributed to the person’s death.
The National Weather Service issued a flood warning until 5 p.m. CDT.
The cause of death is yet unknown.
