Moreno Valley Man Brian Vaughn Accused of Targeting Minors and Kidnapping, Bail Set at $1 Million

On the evening of October 31, in Moreno Valley, a 17-year-old high school student’s walk home was disrupted by a distressing encounter. A man, later identified as Brian Vaughn, allegedly followed her, took photographs, and repeatedly offered her a ride. This information comes straight from the

Riverside Sheriff’s Office

as they responded to the subsequent call for assistance. Although deputies were dispatched and obtained the student’s account, they were unable to locate the suspect at that time.

The unsettling events extended into the following day. According to the

Riverside Sheriff’s Office

, another disturbing report surfaced on November 1 just past 4 p.m. A 12-year-old girl was solicited for a lewd act by an adult male known to her, and the investigating deputies quickly linked this incident to the previous day’s harassment. While the case unfolded, a third victim, an adult female, reported being physically coerced by the same man. She managed to escape the grasp of the suspect when he attempted to pull her toward his vehicle in Jurupa Valley.

Investigators at the Moreno Valley Sheriff’s Station pieced together the reports, identifying 36-year-old Brian Vaughn of Jurupa Valley as the suspect behind these alarming occurrences. On Wednesday, a search warrant led to his arrest at a residence on Hawk Drive. As stated by the

Riverside Sheriff’s Office

, Vaughn now faces charges that include contacting a minor to commit a felony, annoying or molesting a minor, and kidnapping, with his bail set at $1 million.

This investigation remains active and ongoing. The

Riverside Sheriff’s Office

is concerned that there could be more victims. They have asked for any person with information pertaining to this case, or related incidents, to reach out to Investigator Castellanos at 951–486–6793. For further inquiries, the Media Information Bureau remains available, providing updates as the situation evolves.
