Mother and 6-Year-Old Daughter Hospitalized After LAPD-Involved Crash in Encino

A mother and her 6-year-old daughter were hospitalized following a crash involving Los Angeles Police Department officers in Encino on Monday night.

The incident happened shortly before 9 p.m. in the 5600 block of Lindley Avenue.

Details are limited, and it is unclear what caused the crash or whether the officers in the patrol vehicle activated their lights and sirens, but video from the scene showed a mother and her young daughter in a wheelchair being ushered to a waiting ambulance by medical personnel from the Los Angeles Fire Department.

The two were taken to the hospital and treated for unspecified injuries.

Both automobiles looked to have received minimal damage.

At least one of the cops was observed getting what looked to be his left hand inspected by a paramedic on the site, but no information was released on the officers’ injuries.

Lindley Avenue between Burbank Boulevard and Hatteras Avenue was closed while LAPD officers from the West Valley Division investigated and cleared the site.
