Motorcycle rider sustains critical injuries in Bristol County highway crash

A Bristol County highway crash left a motorcycle rider with serious injuries.

According to the fire department, at approximately 12:15 p.m. on Thursday, Attleboro Fire Department crews were dispatched to the area of Pleasant Street (Route 123) at Emory Street for a reported motor vehicle crash involving a motorcycle.

Upon arrival, first responders found a 28-year-old female motorcycle operator who had sustained a critical, but non-life-threatening, injury to her leg. Advanced Life Support care was provided on scene, and Attleboro Rescue 1 transported the patient to Rhode Island Hospital for further treatment.

The area was closed to traffic until approximately 1:30 p.m. while the Attleboro Police Department conducted their investigation into the cause of the crash.
