A serious collision involving a white 2024 Chevrolet Suburban and an orange 2017 KTM motorcycle left the motorcyclist critically injured on Honoapiilani Highway, as reported byKITVyesterday. The accident occurred shortly after 7 p.m. last Friday, less than half a mile south of Kekaa Drive in Kaanapali. A preliminary investigation revealed that the Chevrolet was executing an illegal left turn onto the highway when it was struck by the motorcycle.
The motorcyclist, a 35-year-old man from Lahaina, sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to the Maui Memorial Medical Center Emergency Room. “The man, who was wearing a helmet at the time of the collision,” according to a statement obtained byKITV.
