Mountain View Barber Charged with Sexual Assaults and Kidnapping, Santa Clara DA Urges More Victims to Step Forward

Franklin Enrique Sarceno Orla, a barber from Mountain View, has been charged by the Santa Clara County District Attorney’s Office with sexually abusing two men as part of a criminal spree that also involved kidnapping. Sarceno Orla, 34, is currently the target of a manhunt because of unsettling evidence that has led authorities to assume that he has assaulted numerous further victims.Additional victims are encouraged to come forward by Santa Clara County.

Franklin Enrique Sarceno Orla may have sexually assaulted at least 20 different guys who were unconscious or extremely drunk while he was evading the police; some of these incidents were captured on his own video recordings. The Mountain View Police Department invites anyone who believes they may have been a victim to get in touch with them in order to learn more about the fugitive’s location and possible victims. The Santa Clara County DA stated that the suspect might be sentenced to life in prison if found guilty of these horrible allegations.

When a man reported waking up hurt and confused after drinking with Sarceno Orla in July, MVPD’s inquiry got underway. The man’s allegations of sexual assault were supported by forensic evidence. After drinking beers with the suspect, another victim, who named him as his barber, also claimed to have passed out. The victims’ bravery in coming forward has been crucial to the police’s efforts to find and apprehend Sarceno Orla. According to the Santa Clara County DA, District Attorney Jeff Rosen stated: “We are grateful to the Mountain View Police Department for identifying the sexual predator that was in our neighborhood. We will soon have him in custody to prevent him from ever harming anyone again, thanks to the brave victims, investigators, and members of the public.”
