Multi-vehicle Crash in San Francisco’s Sunset District Leaves One in Critical Condition

SAN FRANCISCO (DDN) – A multi-vehicle incident that occurred on Tuesday afternoon in the Sunset District resulted in the transportation of one individual to the hospital, according to an announcement made by the San Francisco Fire Department on X.

“Serious condition” describes the condition of the individual who was transported to a trauma center.

Sunset Boulevard and Santiago Street were the names of the intersection where the collision took place.

According to the San Francisco Fire Department, two additional people were also hurt, although they are currently in stable condition in the hospital.

A Jaws of Life device was utilized by the firefighters to assist the adult who was in critical condition in egressing from the car.

Three lanes on Sunset Boulevard were blocked earlier, but they have since been opened up again as of seven o’clock.

The San Francisco Municipal Transportation Authority (SFMTA) announced on X that the 29 Muni bus that travels between Sunset and Santiago will be relocated.

A new route will be used by the 29 bus between Santiago and Ulloa, which will take it along 35th Avenue.

At 3:45 p.m., the San Francisco Fire Department made the initial post regarding the crash on X. KRON4 is dispatching a crew to assess the situation.
