Following a distressing discovery in Fond du Lac County, nearly 50 to 70 dogs have been rescued from a residence in a state of neglect. The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office responded to a home in the Town of Calumet after receiving reports of an overwhelming odor emanating from the property,

. Deputies, upon arriving around 11:30 a.m. yesterday, found dozens of dogs living in what has been described as ‘deplorable’ conditions that required a search warrant issued by a judge for fuller access.

With the residence deemed unsanitary, the Calumet Fire Department brought in hazmat equipment to assist in removing the animals, where in the residence, they found the dogs, as per a statement obtained by
