New Bedford Man Tajon Saxon Apprehended in Connection with Fall River Homicides

Tajon Saxon, a 26-year-old from New Bedford who had been evading authorities as a suspect in many murders in Fall River, was just apprehended by the Massachusetts State Police. A manhunt that spanned the East Coast came to an end when Saxon was captured while hiding in the toilet of a third-floor apartment, according to Massachusetts State Police News.

A 2023 murder and a May 2021 double homicide were among the three crimes for which Saxon was wanted. Saxon was added to the State Police Most Wanted list earlier this year following an initial unsuccessful search for him. Several departments worked together to arrest him, and the State and New Bedford Police officers were able to apprehend him without any problems.

“Massachusetts State Troopers assigned to the Violent Fugitive Apprehension Section work collaboratively with our partners every day to pursue, locate, and apprehend individuals wanted for violent crimes that negatively impact quality of life,” said Colonel Geoffrey Noble of the Massachusetts State Police. According to Massachusetts State Police News, Noble praised the collaborations with the local police agencies in Fall River and New Bedford for their commitment to this case.

Saxon was booked in the Dartmouth Barracks after his arrest. The Massachusetts State Police News reported that the case is currently in the custody of the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office.
