A mother is deeply concerned after her autistic son from New Bedford has gone missing.
Isaiah Montanez was last seen Monday around 6:00 a.m.
He is 22, about 5’8” tall, around 180 pounds, and is Hispanic.
Police pinged Isaiah’s phone in the area of the 2000 block of Highland Ave. in Fall River on Tuesday.
His mother gave more details on the situation.
“Isaiah is high functioning on the spectrum, has severe depression and social anxiety. He has a speech impediment as well. He is very shy, timid reserved person this is not like him to just take off and not say anything to me. He didn’t take anything with him i.e.: phone charger etc. so this doesn’t make sense. He hasn’t been active on any social media which is a huge red flag! I do not know what happened to my son, what condition he is in, if he even left on his own free will. This is highly concerning.”
If you have any information on Isaiah’s whereabouts, contact New Bedford Police at (508) 991-6350.
