A new marijuana dispensary has opened in Hazel Park. There is a nurse on board to help customers find the right product and variety.

Hayat Provisioning at 634 West Nine Mile Road was officially opened over the weekend and offers medicinal and recreational cannabis as well as free delivery.

Hitting the pharmacy is Cathleen S. Graham, a clinical director and nurse who started Cannabis Nurse, an educational resource that offers medical marijuana counseling and wellness plans. Graham was the first nurse to be named Medical Professional of the Year for Americans for Safe Access, a nonprofit that promotes safe and legal access to cannabis for therapeutic purposes.

“We have always believed that any cannabis purchase should include the option of personalized cannabis advice based on an individual’s specific needs and wants,” said Justin Carter, general manager of Hayat. “The wellbeing benefits and changes that we have seen have been inspiring, be it recreational or medical. The name of our company, Hayat, means “life” and that is what guides us. ”

Graham offers reviews and wellness plans that include diet, lifestyle, and cannabinoid support.

“It is especially important to me and all of our staff that we provide patients with a welcoming, confidential, and non-judgmental space to share the journey that led them to seek cannabis as an option,” said Graham. “You will receive personal support in making an informed decision about cannabis use, which will lead to improved results.”

Hayat is located in the former End of the Park bar. Across the street is Hayat’s 20,000 square meter extension and laboratory building.

“We are grateful to the city of Hazel Park for working with us to bring Hayat to the city and we are determined to give something back to the community,” said Hayat owner Martin Sema. “We love the welcoming nature of Hazel Park and its people. We love the fact that it is indeed an emerging city and we intend to do whatever we can to strengthen the business corridors and social organizations.”
