New Orleans Police Arrest Juvenile Suspected of Terrorizing McMain Secondary School

A minor was taken into custody by the New Orleans Police Department on Tuesday in relation to a threat directed at Eleanor McMain Secondary School in Uptown, Louisiana. Detectives from the Second District of the New Orleans Police Department launched an investigation after seeing the threat on social media last Wednesday. Students, parents, and staff at the South Claiborne Avenue school were alarmed by the threat.

Along with her mother, a 15-year-old girl willingly visited the Second District station of the New Orleans Police Department. “The juvenile admitted her involvement in the incident.” She was taken into custody and accused of terrorizing after making her confession. The Juvenile Justice Intervention Center received her booking. According to the New Orleans Police Department, the investigation is still underway, and more details regarding the case are being sought.

The New Orleans Police Department said they are looking for the public’s help because of a recent threatening incident. Detectives in the Second District are asking anyone with information to call them at 504-658-6020. Everyone is assumed innocent until proven guilty, the police reminded the public.
